It was a hot Labour Day weekend when the Maier family pulled up in their trailer, 3 kids in tow, to discover paradise was in fact only a short drive from home. It was an unbelievable beach just a couple of hours from the GTA! We fell in love with Long Point and purchased our first cottage. We shared it with other families and added a few more prime cottages on the largest swath of the beach.

 

In 2015 we moved to Long Point to look after them as a full time business, because well maintained cottages really need ”hands on” owners to keep them in top condition. As long time cottagers at Long Point we have grown to love this community and know all it has to offer, and enjoy sharing our experiences with our guests. We offer clean and comfortable accommodations, a haven from which to venture out and enjoy all that the area has to offer.
 
We have visited the local golf courses, restaurants, diners, conservation areas, fishing charters, and more to choose the best each has to offer.
 
Our goal is to introduce people to the new kind of eco-tourism that leaves us with an appreciation for Ontario. Whether it is how the food is grown (Norfolk County is the number one food producing county in Canada!) or birding (Bird Studies Canada right here in Port Rowan).
